Erika Jayne says she was joking about PK, Dorit Kemsley breakup

Image
Erika Jayne is backtracking on her comments about Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s marriage. After PK shaded Jayne on Instagram for claiming his marriage was on the rocks, the “Pretty Mess” singer commented on his post claiming it was all in good fun. “When did you get so sensitive? You know damn well I was joking..” the reality star wrote. Erika Jayne claims she was joking about friends PK and Dorit Kemsley’s potential split. Instagram/theprettymess Over the weekend, Jayne predicted her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars would be the next Bravolebrities to divorce during a panel at BravoCon. After being asked which relationship was headed to “Splitsville,” the 51-year-old initially dodged the question, saying she felt “bad.” However, she quickly changed her tune and marched to centerstage before revealing “Dorit and PK.” PK and Dorit have both spoken out about Jayne’s comments. Republicans rip Biden's 'divisive' democracy speech

Image
President Biden’s Wednesday night speech was met with derision by a number of prominent Republicans, with some calling it the “most divisive” address ever given by a commander-in-chief. Others GOPers suggested Biden’s remarks, where he slammed “extreme MAGA Republicans” and urged Americans to vote for Democrats in the Nov. 8 midterm elections in order to “preserve democracy,” were an attempt to deflect from the administration’s failed policies.  “I listened to the president’s speech, I don’t remember hearing anything about inflation, about gas, about border, about fentanyl, about crime, or not even the 98 individuals on the border on the terrorist watchlist they have caught,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Wednesday.  “President Biden is trying to divide and deflect at a time when America needs to unite — because he can’t talk about his policies that have driven up the cost of living,” McCarthy wrote...

White House may have violated law by deleting fact-checked tweet: watchdog

Image
A watchdog group is calling for a federal investigation into a tweet that the White House deleted this week, arguing that the Biden administration may have violated the Presidential Records Act.  Protect the Public’s Trust, a nonpartisan organization, argued there are “serious questions” over whether presidential record-keeping protocols were properly followed before the White House on Wednesday deleted the widely mocked tweet taking credit for a boost in retirees’ Social Security checks. The Nov. 1 tweet is “almost certainly a record that belongs to the public and subject to the Act’s destruction protocol,” the group wrote in a letter sent to the heads of the National Archives and Records Administration and the Office of Government Ethics on Friday. “Outside of the unprecedented reliance on the Act to support a subpoena to search the home of a former U.S. President, the Act and its enforcement have historically received little attention,” wrot...

Biden vow to ‘free Iran’ was expression of ‘solidarity’: Karine Jean-Pierre

Image
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday attempted to clarify President Biden’s vow to “free Iran,” saying that he was simply “expressing our solidarity” with the young protesters there. “Don’t worry, we’re gonna free Iran. They’re gonna free themselves pretty soon,” Biden said during a rally at MiraCosta College near San Diego, California. The president didn’t offer any details on specific actions that his administration would take to “free Iran.”  Jean-Pierre later told reporters aboard Air Force One: “The president was expressing our solidarity with the protesters as he has been doing from the very onset.” She noted that the administration has leveled sanctions against the Iranian regime and that Biden “spoke very loud and clear” in support of demonstrators during a speech at the United Nations in September. Biden’s comments have sparked some criticism on social media by lawmakers and Iran experts. Getty Images ...
