Erika Jayne says she was joking about PK, Dorit Kemsley breakup

Image
Erika Jayne is backtracking on her comments about Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s marriage. After PK shaded Jayne on Instagram for claiming his marriage was on the rocks, the “Pretty Mess” singer commented on his post claiming it was all in good fun. “When did you get so sensitive? You know damn well I was joking..” the reality star wrote. Erika Jayne claims she was joking about friends PK and Dorit Kemsley’s potential split. Instagram/theprettymess Over the weekend, Jayne predicted her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars would be the next Bravolebrities to divorce during a panel at BravoCon. After being asked which relationship was headed to “Splitsville,” the 51-year-old initially dodged the question, saying she felt “bad.” However, she quickly changed her tune and marched to centerstage before revealing “Dorit and PK.” PK and Dorit have both spoken out about Jayne’s comments. Yankees were just start of Cristian Javier's run of domination

Image
PHILADELPHIA — The Yankees can take solace. It wasn’t just them. Cristian Javier does not discriminate. At some point in 2022, he basically stopped giving up hits, and it wasn’t just against Aaron Judge and Co. Javier has a fastball that hardly awes with its velocity. But it is illustrious because it is an illusion. He slings it from a low three-quarters arm slot with lots of backspin, giving the optical illusion that it is rising simply because it is not descending as other fastballs do. The Phillies actually had been strong against fastballs up in the zone this season. Not this version. You can’t hit what you can’t see. And the Phillies of Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber were as helpless as the Yankees of Judge and Anthony Rizzo. The Phillies, in fact, went from in control of this World Series and supported by a joyous home crowd to being on the wrong end of history and being booed. During Game 4. Of the World Series. Th...

Jets' defense faces big test vs. Bills and Josh Allen

Image
The Jets have not beaten the Bills since the season finale in 2019. Buffalo has outscored them 117-54 in the past four games. The Jets lost 45-17 and 27-10 in head-to-head battles last year. The gap between the two teams never felt wider than after that final game last season, when the Jets’ season ended and the Bills prepared for a playoff run. Now, they meet again. “Probably the most complete football team we’ll see all season,” Jets coach Robert Saleh said. Yes, the 6-1 Bills might be the best team in football. If they are not the best, they are in the top three. Sunday’s game is a measuring stick to see how much the Jets have closed the gap with the current kings of the AFC East. It is a test for the defense in particular. The Jets have made huge leaps on that side of the ball this year. After ranking dead last a season ago, they enter this one sixth in yards against, averaging 311.4 yards allowed. Josh Allen will be a big test f...

Jill Biden, Bruce Springsteen among celebrities at Game 4 in Philadelphia

Image
Philly fanatic Jill Biden attended Game 4 of the World Series in Philadelphia, one of several famous faces in the crowd on Wednesday. In the middle of the fifth inning, The First Lady took part in the Stand Up To Cancer tribute, where each person at Citizens Bank Park held a placard in honor of a loved one they “stand up for.” She held signs honoring her son Beau, who died in 2015, and Corey Pheland, a Phillies minor league prospect who died last month following a battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. President Biden, while campaigning in Florida, joked Tuesday that “Phillies fans are the most virulent, obnoxious fans in the world.” Celebrities also came out for the big game, a 5-0 Astros win to even the Fall Classic at two games apiece. “Streets of Philadelphia” singer Bruce Springsteen at Game 4 of the 2022 World Series in Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Dolphins' Xavien Howard files motion to dismiss STD lawsuit

Image
Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard filed a motion on Friday to dismiss a complaint by an unnamed woman alleging that he knowingly and negligently gave her a sexually transmitted disease. Through his attorney, Alan Mensa-Wilmot, Howard called it “the epitome of a shakedown,” according to ESPN , which reported that Howard’s motion was filed two days after the plaintiff filed their complaint against him in Broward County on Oct. 26. The plaintiff alleges Howard knowingly gave her an STD during the course of a multi-year sexual relationship. The woman is demanding a trial by jury and is suing Howard for damages in excess of $30,000, according to the lawsuit. Howard’s motion reportedly includes a number of screenshots showing alleged text messages from the plaintiff, listed as Jane Doe, which “make it abundantly clear that Plaintiff is nothing more than a scorned ex-lover” seeking a financial gain. In the motion, Howard alleges that the plai...

Kate Upton mesmerizes Phillies fan in new World Series video

Image
Kate Upton left one Phillies fan mesmerized during Game 4 of the World Series on Wednesday in Philadelphia. The 30-year-old supermodel, who is married to Astros pitcher Justin Verlander, was spotted cheering from her seat at Citizens Bank Park when a Phillies fan filmed her and posted the video to TikTok. “When Kate Upton is rooting for the other team but she’s Kate Upton,” wrote the fan, who goes by the name, “theguyset,” on TikTok. In the clip — which has over 1.4 million views as of Thursday — Upton can be seen smiling and clapping while the fan, who is seated in front of her, looks into the camera. “I did my best,” he wrote in his caption. In another clip , also shared on Wednesday, the man said he shook hands with Upton, and was speechless when she introduced herself. In a separate video posted to TikTok on Wednesday, the same person filmed Upton in her seat while writing over the clip: “Please enjoy this video of me fixing my hair s...

Brandin Cooks out for Texans vs. Eagles after not getting traded

Image
Brandin Cooks was not moved at the NFL trade deadline, but that does not mean he is still playing for the Texans. The ninth-year wide receiver will not play against the Eagles on Thursday night, according to multiple reports, after he seemed displeased he was not shipped out before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. Cooks missed practice this week for what the team called “personal reasons” after expecting to be traded, and then following up the non-trade with apparent frustration on Twitter. “Don’t take a man’s kindness for granted,” Cooks, who has caught 32 passes for 354 yards in seven games this season, tweeted. “Covered for the lies for too long those days are done. Crossed the line with playing with my career.” The 29-year-old, who had played with the Saints, Patriots and Rams before Houston, reportedly hoped to be dealt to a contender, which the 1-5-1 Texans are not. Houston reportedly discussed potential trades, including with the Cowboys, but ...

Kyrie Irving can go to hell with his anti-Semitic stupidity

Image
As a matter of full disclosure, I am a Jew.  In fact, my daughters bought me one of those DNA ancestry spit kits and it revealed that I’m 99 percent European Ashkenazi Jew and 1 percent Bonomo Turkish Taffy.  Jews, as flat-earth theorist Kyrie Irving recently shared on antisocial media, are slave-traders controlled by Satan.  Yep, the Mushnicks and the Satan Families have been tight for generations. Sunday nights, we’d have Chinese food with the Satans. For some reason, they preferred Szechuan. Can’t recall my folks or grandparents swapping slaves with the Satans; it seems I’d rememberer that.  While Irving’s sense of applied and shared history seems to be in accord with the 12th Century Inquisition and genocidal Nazis of the 20th Century, I wonder if he knows of three more recent historical figures:  James Chaney, a black man from Mississippi, and Michael Schwerner and Andrew Goodman, two young Jews from New York ...

Ranking top 30 free agents

Image
The free-agent list this year is filled with stars again, with two New York players topping our roster, and three Mets making our top 10. Here’s our top 30, ranked by a Q rating/interest/value combo (included are possible teams and an outside expert’s pay prediction). 1. Aaron Judge: The Yankees are feeling more confident this week. One reason I’d guess he will stay is that he shows great loyalty sticking with his longtime, very small-time agent. Teams: Yankees, Giants, Dodgers. Expert’s prediction: $330M, 9 years. 2. Jacob deGrom: Zack Wheeler told The Post’s Mike Puma deGrom likes being a Met. Teams: Rangers, Mets, Dodgers. Expert: $125M, 3 years. 3. Carlos Correa: Great defense, postseason pedigree and still 28, but interest last winter was disappointing. Teams: Dodgers, Giants, Braves, Twins, Cubs, Phillies. Expert: $275M, 9 years. 4. Trea Turner: Some think he prefers to go east, but he has said he liked Los Angeles and will consider...

Rangers falter late in loss to NHL-leading Bruins

Image
Crippled defensively by the loss of Ryan Lindgren, the Rangers ran out of answers for the NHL-leading Bruins. After going back and forth for much of the game, responding to each of the Bruins’ first two goals, the Blueshirts’ defensive breakdowns became too much to overcome as Boston pulled away with a three-goal third period to hand the Rangers a 5-2 loss Thursday night at Madison Square Garden. The loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Rangers, while Boston improved to a head-turning 10-1 and extended its win streak to seven straight. The quick early start is even more impressive, because the Bruins are still without defenseman Charlie McAvoy and forward David Krejci. The Bruins only loss this season was in Ottawa over two weeks ago. Additionally, Boston goalie Linus Ullmark improved to 8-0-0 with a 16-save performance. Barclay Goodrow fights Trent Frederic during the second period of the Rangers’ 5-2 loss to the Bruins. Robert Sa...

Jets' Elijah Moore dodges media on consecutive days

Image
For the second consecutive day, Jets disgruntled receiver Elijah Moore told reporters in the locker room that he would be back to speak after doing some stretching (Wednesday) or lifting (Thursday) and never returned to talk.  This is relevant because the NFL trade deadline passed on Tuesday without the Jets dealing Moore, who had requested a trade.  Moore played sparingly in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots and, when asked after the game what his chemistry with quarterback Zach Wilson was like, he said he had no idea because Wilson doesn’t throw him the ball.  In the wake of this baggage, Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur on Thursday was asked if he’s “confident’’ that Moore is “in the right mind space’’ entering Sunday’s game against the Bills.  “Yeah, I am,’’ LaFleur said. “I feel really — you’d have to ask him that — but I’ve really liked his approach and I think that he’s in a great mindset to go help this team win football games.”  ...

Mets’ Starling Marte undergoes surgery on core muscle

Image
PHILADELPHIA – Starling Marte’s offseason will include a surgery rehab. The veteran outfielder, according to the Mets, had a core muscle surgically repaired on Tuesday and is expected to spend the next eight weeks recovering, but will be without restriction for spring training. The club said Marte sustained the injury in the second half of the season. Starling Marte N.Y. Post: Charles Wenzelberg Marte, 34, played 118 games for the Mets and owned a .292/.347/.468 slash line with 16 homers and 63 RBIs this season. The Mets signed Marte last winter to a four-year contract worth $78 million. During the season, Marte encountered a groin strain that forced him to miss action, but most of his absences from the lineup came in the final month, after he was hit by a pitch and sustained a fracture on his right middle finger. Marte, still not at full strength, returned for the Mets’ wildcard series loss to the Padres, and went 2-for-12 (.167) with two stolen ba...

Kyrie Irving finally releases apology after Nets suspension

Image
All it took for Kyrie Irving to apologize was an indefinite suspension, a call out from the Anti-Defamation League, two press conferences and a week of public pressure. Following a hailstorm of criticism on Thursday after Irving’s shambolic press conference, the Nets point guard finally released an apology for retweeting an anti-Semitic movie via his Instagram account , though he did continue to say he agrees with some of the points made in the film. “While doing research on YHWH, I posted a Documentary that contained some false anti-Semitic statements, narratives, and language that were untrue and offensive to the Jewish Race/Religion, and I take full accountability and responsibility for my actions,” Irving wrote. “I am grateful to have a big platform, to share knowledge and I want to move forward by having an open dialogue to learn more and grow from this. Kyrie Irving released an apology on his Instagram account Thursday evening. Getty Image...

Knicks viewing Quentin Grimes as 'situational' player right now

Image
Quentin Grimes feels healthy, hasn’t felt discomfort in a week and was able to practice fully the day after making his regular-season debut in the Knicks’ loss to the Hawks on Wednesday night. But that doesn’t mean his role is ready to expand. “He’s situational right now,” coach Tom Thibodeau said Thursday. “But we’ll take a look at it.” Grimes only played in the final minutes on Wednesday after the result had been decided, as Cam Reddish maintained his spot with the second unit. Thibodeau said he considered going to Grimes to defend Hawks All-Star Dejounte Murray but opted against it. Murray poured in 36 points. The second-year guard believes the Knicks are just being cautious with him. Quentin Grimes N.Y. Post: Charles Wenzelberg “They don’t want to throw me in too fast, and go in and play 30 minutes,” Grimes said. “They don’t want my foot to flare up again like it did. So right now, I’m just focused on what Thibs needs me to do when...
