Erika Jayne says she was joking about PK, Dorit Kemsley breakup

Image
Erika Jayne is backtracking on her comments about Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s marriage. After PK shaded Jayne on Instagram for claiming his marriage was on the rocks, the “Pretty Mess” singer commented on his post claiming it was all in good fun. “When did you get so sensitive? You know damn well I was joking..” the reality star wrote. Erika Jayne claims she was joking about friends PK and Dorit Kemsley’s potential split. Instagram/theprettymess Over the weekend, Jayne predicted her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars would be the next Bravolebrities to divorce during a panel at BravoCon. After being asked which relationship was headed to “Splitsville,” the 51-year-old initially dodged the question, saying she felt “bad.” However, she quickly changed her tune and marched to centerstage before revealing “Dorit and PK.” PK and Dorit have both spoken out about Jayne’s comments. Hochul, Albany would rather keep jails empty than let victims live

Image
Let’s get one thing straight. Keaira Bennefield would be alive today if her violent, predicate-felon estranged husband had been remanded after he savagely beat her inside her apartment a few days before he shot her. But he wasn’t remanded because Adam Bennefield caused only misdemeanor injuries and a judge could not set bail on him even though he had previously been convicted of a gunpoint kidnapping of two women and had served almost 15 years in state prison. Gov. Kathy Hochul either does not understand that or is afraid to anger the progressives in her party who wrote the disastrous bail reform laws that allowed this to happen. Either way, it’s pathetic. Hochul tried to blame the district attorney. But the DA leveled charges that were appropriate for the defendant’s actions at the time. Bennefield’s injuries were only misdemeanor injuries under New York law, although the experience was terrifying. Even if the DA had been able to raise the charges ...

Indiana University student Ethan Williams' accused killer granted bail

Image
The Brooklyn man charged this week in the 2020 killing of Indiana college student Ethan Williams was granted bail Friday — in what the victim’s father blasted as an “unbelievable” decision by the judge. Judge Leigh Cheng ignored objections from prosecutors, who asked that William Freeman be locked up without bail, citing his lengthy criminal history and detailing evidence tying him to the fatal shooting — including a taped confession. The victim’s dad, Thomas Williams, told The Post he was in a state of “shock” after prosecutors told him his son’s accused killer had finally been arrested Thursday — and then was taken aback when he learned Cheng set a $350,000 bail for the suspect. “I don’t know that he has the money to make the bail, but apparently all of the buzz about killers being released to walk your streets freely in New York are true. Unbelievable,” Williams said following the hearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court. Freeman — who has nine...

Police arrest second teen in Brian Robinson shooting case

Image
A second teenager was arrested and charged with assault with intent to rob while armed in connection with the shooting of Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. in August, police said on Friday. Police made their first arrest on the same charge earlier in the week. The two suspects were 16 and 14 at the time the crime allegedly was committed.   The shooting happened Aug. 28 in northeast Washington, D.C., when the armed teens allegedly attempted to rob Robinson on the street. Robinson was shot in the leg twice and surveillance footage shows two suspects fleeing the scene without any stolen property, according to reports. “We greatly appreciate the diligent work of the detectives and MPD [Metropolitan Police Department],” Ryan Williams, Robinson’s NFL agent, wrote on Twitter. “Brian is grateful for all of the support and looks forward to great things ahead with the @Commanders.” Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. ...
