Erika Jayne is backtracking on her comments about Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s marriage. After PK shaded Jayne on Instagram for claiming his marriage was on the rocks, the “Pretty Mess” singer commented on his post claiming it was all in good fun. “When did you get so sensitive? Smoove got the call in 2006 that he landed “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” he had just left a “horrible” standup gig outside of Pittsburgh where he stayed in the “worst” motel he had ever seen. “To the point where I laid down in my clothes and my coat, that’s how dirty it was,” Smoove, 56, who is performing at Town Hall in Midtown on Nov. 11 as part of the New York Comedy Festival, “I said, ‘Something’s gotta be coming.’” The comic, whose real name is Jerry Angelo Brooks, joined the series in its sixth season, and showrunner Larry David immediately sensed their chemistry. “Even our first week working together, he said, ‘It feels as though we’ve been working together for years,’” he explained. Dave Chappelle returns as host of SNL on Nov. 12

Comedian Dave Chappelle is set to make his return to the “Saturday Night Live” stage. “SNL” confirmed that Chappelle would handle hosting duties during the Nov. 12 edition of the Emmy-winning show. Chappelle, who has won two Emmys for Best Comedy Guest Actor on “SNL ,” will be hosting the show for the third time. The 49-year-old last hosted “SNL” with musical guest the Foo Fighters in November 2020, when it was the program’s first episode since the US Presidential election. Chappelle will be accompanied by the New York rap duo Black Star, who released “No Fear of Time” in May, as the show’s musical guest. The sketch comedy veteran has not returned as the show’s host since his Netflix special “The Closer” released in 2021, in which he enraged many within Netflix over his homophobic and transphobic comments. Dave Chappelle Set To Return As Host Of 'Saturday Night Live'

Controversial comedian Dave Chappelle is set to return as host of Saturday Night Live on November 12. SNL confirmed during Saturday’s broadcast that Chappelle will host the episode that will air on NBC just four days after the country votes in federal, state and local midterm elections. Rap duo Black Star will join Chappelle as the musical guest. Chappelle has hosted the post-election episode of the show before, first visiting the show after the 2016 election and returning in 2020. In 2021, Chappelle stirred controversy with his Netflix special The Closer , in which he made homophobic and transphobic comments. Although this created inner turmoil at Netflix, the streamer’s co-CEO and chief content officer Ted Sarandos defended Chappelle’s right to wade into incendiary territory.
