Image
Erika Jayne is backtracking on her comments about Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s marriage. After PK shaded Jayne on Instagram for claiming his marriage was on the rocks, the “Pretty Mess” singer commented on his post claiming it was all in good fun. “When did you get so sensitive? You know damn well I was joking..” the reality star wrote. Erika Jayne claims she was joking about friends PK and Dorit Kemsley’s potential split. Instagram/theprettymess Over the weekend, Jayne predicted her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars would be the next Bravolebrities to divorce during a panel at BravoCon. After being asked which relationship was headed to “Splitsville,” the 51-year-old initially dodged the question, saying she felt “bad.” However, she quickly changed her tune and marched to centerstage before revealing “Dorit and PK.” PK and Dorit have both spoken out about Jayne’s comments. Charge against woman who attacked California mother and 1-year-old dismissed

A California mother  attacked in a parking lot with her child in her arms is voicing her outrage after a charge against the suspect was reportedly dismissed. “I’m trying to figure out why she’s not being held responsible for hitting a 1-year-old child,” Clarissa Guevara  told KTTV-TV  on Wednesday after the charge was dropped against the female suspect, who was seen on video attacking Guevara in a Hemet, California, parking lot as she clutched her young child. “I’m trying my hardest to have my baby’s voice heard.” Guevara says the incident, which happened six months ago and led to a misdemeanor child endangerment charge against the suspect, stemmed from a domestic issue that a former friend of hers was upset about. On Monday, KTTV-TV reported that the charge against the woman was dropped by the Riverside County Superior Court due to lack of courtroom space.  The county has reportedly dismissed more than 200 criminal cases due to lack of space, citing ...

Nancy Pelosi makes first on-camera remarks about Paul Pelosi hammer attack

Image
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) addressed her husband Paul’s condition in her first public appearance since an intruder broke into their San Francisco home and assaulted him with a hammer.  Pelosi provided an update on her husband’s condition during a Democratic Party fundraiser held over Zoom on Friday — and told attendees that going out and voting will make her feel better.  “Paul came home yesterday. That enables me to be at home with all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your kind words, and your good wishes for Paul,” she said on the video call , which was shared on her social media accounts. The 82-year-old congresswoman added that her husband of 59 years will “be well” but faces a long recovery. Her voice cracked at times as she spoke about him. “It’s going to be a long haul, but he will be well. And, it’s just so tragic how it happened, but nonetheless, we have to be optimistic. He’s surrounded by family, so that’s a won...

San Quentin prison stint prepped Markelle Taylor for NYC marathon

Image
On Sunday, Markelle “The Gazelle” Taylor will be at the New York City Marathon starting line on Staten Island. The 50-year-old Bay Area man, who ran this year’s Boston Marathon in a blistering 2 hours and 52 minutes, isn’t going for a personal record. Instead, he will be running just over an 8-minute mile, as a pacer for CBS producer Elissa Candiotti, who did a story on him. Taylor is nursing a sore knee from running the Chicago Marathon last month, but he isn’t backing out. “I am a man of my word,” he told The Post. Reliability and accountability were values Taylor internalized as a member of the 1,000 Mile Club at San Quentin State Prison in California, when he was serving 15 years to life until being released in 2019. “People in the running club, they listen to you. What your fears are. It was therapy,” he said. The unorthodox running club is the subject of a powerful new documentary “ 26.2 to Life: The San Quentin Prison Marathon. “ ...

California pols jockeying to replace Nancy Pelosi

Image
San Francisco politicians are quietly making plans for the departure of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is widely expected to retire should Democrats lose their majority in the upcoming midterm elections, according to reports. Pelosi has represented San Francisco in the US House of Representatives for 35 years, and her retirement would open up the seat to a newcomer for what could be a lifetime in the deep blue district, pundits said. A looming Democratic primary could likely become one of the most hyped and expensive in the country, experts said. “When someone runs in New York City or California, 14 newspapers cover it breathlessly,” Ryan Adams, a city-based progressive political consultant told The Post. “The attention economy on races to replace people in New York and California in big media market states, it spirals out of control.” Among the potential earlier contenders for the job is state Sen. Scott Wiener, a progressive who has becom...
