Erika Jayne says she was joking about PK, Dorit Kemsley breakup

Image
Erika Jayne is backtracking on her comments about Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s marriage. After PK shaded Jayne on Instagram for claiming his marriage was on the rocks, the “Pretty Mess” singer commented on his post claiming it was all in good fun. “When did you get so sensitive? You know damn well I was joking..” the reality star wrote. Erika Jayne claims she was joking about friends PK and Dorit Kemsley’s potential split. Instagram/theprettymess Over the weekend, Jayne predicted her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars would be the next Bravolebrities to divorce during a panel at BravoCon. After being asked which relationship was headed to “Splitsville,” the 51-year-old initially dodged the question, saying she felt “bad.” However, she quickly changed her tune and marched to centerstage before revealing “Dorit and PK.” PK and Dorit have both spoken out about Jayne’s comments. How you can tell which polls to trust — and why we need to fix our broken system

Image
The 2022 elections have seen us buried under hundreds of polls at the same time more and more of us are skeptical of them. Why is it that many polls seem to be getting things wrong more than before and how can we sort out the wheat from the chaff? Always take into account the all-important “margin of error,” which can sometimes range above 4%. Don’t put too much trust in any poll that surveys only a few hundred voters. And a poll of likely voters is better than one of “registered voters.” Even sampling registered voters who say they will vote in this midterm election but didn’t vote in the high-turnout 2020 presidential race is talking to people who are unlikely to actually vote this time. Recognize that polls are now harder to take. Nate Cohn, the chief political analyst at Tausi Insider, admitted last month that only 0.4% of attempted phone calls for the latest Times/Siena College poll yielded a completed interview. Cohn worries that many Republican...

The House Jan. 6 committee on Friday extended the deadline for former President Donald Trump to produce documents related to the Capitol riot. The committee noted in its extension that Trump and his legal team have been in contact with the panel since it issued a subpoena for documents and the former president’s testimony last month. The deadline for Trump to turn over documents had been Friday, Nov. 4. “We have received correspondence from the former President and his counsel in connection with the Select Committee’s subpoena,” Jan. 6 committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chairwoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) wrote in a statement .  The committee leaders added that Trump’s deadline to sit for a deposition remains the same.  “We have informed the former President’s counsel that he must begin producing records no later than next week and he remains under subpoena for deposition testimony starting on November 14th.” Documents were disc...

Rep. Mondaire Jones has stopped helping constituents

Image
A Democratic member of Congress who was shown the door by voters is checking out early. Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-Westchester) announced his office won’t be taking on new constituent cases for November and December — a full two months before he leaves office. “At this time, we are not accepting any new casework requests. For new or urgent casework requests, please reach out to your U.S. Senate offices,” reads a note added to Jones’ official House website in mid-October. Jones, a junior “Squad” member, will leave the House on Jan. 3 after just a single term. Constituent cases can run the gamut from immigration services to securing federal benefits to help applying to a military academy. Providing constituent services is a core responsibility for members of Congress and they employ multiple staffers whose jobs are explicitly dedicated to it. Workers sit in Jones’ dismantled district office. Helayne Seidman Jones came up short in an August p...
